Update of our previous post on the delay of the launch of Astra 2G ( http://www.satandpcguy.com/blog/2014/11/astra-2g-launch-delayed-update/ )

The scheduled launch on November 28 of the Astra-2G satellite has been postponed due to a malfunction of the complex command devices booster “Briz-M”.

But whereas some sources said the new launch date would be towards the 24th December 2014, an “industry official” said it may be launched earlier.

The official said that the problem with the Proton rocket was with an electronic gyro that will be replaced. He said that this would be “no more than 2-wk delay in launch of SES Astra 2G.”.
