Premier League announce Sky and BT TV matches for April
Sky and BT Sport announced their latest round of TV selections on Tuesday — which did not include any Friday night matches, meaning broadcasters Sky are set to fail to meet their permitted total of 10 games in the new time slot.
Twenty-four April matches are set for television coverage, although 13 of those could be subject to further movement depending on the progress of other competitions.
Sky will be disappointed to miss out on filling the Friday night slots that were a highly-coveted new addition as part of the £5.14billion television deal this season. They broadcast three Friday games in the early part of the season but then came a three-month gap before the most recent one, Hull City vs Everton, on December 30. It is thought that juggling the hectic Premier League schedule with other competitions has proved a big challenge for Sky.
