Sky
Receiver Decoder Digibox -
Pace 2600 c1 and DS430N

There are two types of Sky digibox that look exactly the same, as in the
above picture.
They were, until about 5 or 6 years ago, manufactured by Pace. So they are
now only available in reconditioned or second hand only.
The Pace 2600 C1 is regarded to be the better of the two models, and is
excellent for our "fringe" are satellite footprint.
Its sister model is the next best receiver. Its performance is very slightly
less than the 2600.
For example, in a side by side test, the "north beam" signal channels (Sky
Sports News, Sky 3) , which is weak between 1500 and 1600 GMT, the 2600
"stayed in" with no blocking or other artefacts where the DS430N was
unwatchable for at least 30 minutes. Also, on BBC 2 England, which we lose
after about 1900 GMT, the 2600 retained the signal for a further 15 minutes
over the DS430N. It is not a great difference, but this proved that you
should be careful when buying a "2600" from someplace like Ebay, as they
sellers have had a reputation of saying that he box is a 2600, whereas in
fact it is a 430n
