Setanta Sports


Setanta Sports was a satellite tv broadcaster, specialising mainly in Sports. They provided a variety of sports on a number of channels.

However, do to the inability or reach the breakeven point of 1.2m subscribers, Setanta Sports UK went into administration in June 2009.

Many of their sports that they had broadcast rights to screen were subsequently sold on to other broadcasters, with ESPN succeeding in obtaining Setantas share of FA Premier League matches.

Some of Setantas Irish pay TV services are still available, and require an Irish bases subscription card. Setanta Ireland channels include Setanta Ireland, Setanta Sports 1, Liverpool FC TV, Celtic TV, Rangers TV, ESPN America, Racing UK and Arsenal TV.
