    Signal Strength

    Hola
I have a twin Invacom Lnb connected to a Pace Sky + box. Can anyone explain to me why I am receiving two different signal and quality strengths.

    I.E.
    Input 1 signal strength 50%
    Input 1 signal quality 30%

    Input 2 signal strength 100%
    Input 2 signal quality 90%

Being a novice if bothfeeds are from the same Lnb then why the vast difference

    Many thanks in anticipation
    S

    Re: Signal Strength

They are measuring 2 different transponders.
Input 1 is Sky epg default transponder( big fat signal everywhere)
Input 2 is your last watched programme, or last recorded channel transponder; if its for example a beeb channel, then it will be vastly weaker(well it is here in the Canaries!!)

    Re: Signal Strength

    basher is right (almost!)

input 1 is normally the signal strength of what is on the screen.
input 2 is the signal strength of what is being (or has been) recorded

in general, input 2 is used to do the recording of anything in your sky+ planner. (but it mixes them around when you have two overlapping recordings!)

    Re: Signal Strength

    mainly thru experience....
but this Sky+ answer came from when i only had one cable from my dish and wondered how the S+ box would work on one cable...and how it handled which input it used for recording...
