    sim card - Vodafone es

On my last visit to Spain ( Feb 09 ) i discovered that my mobile phone was cut off, not through lack of top up credit but i was advised the sim was not registered, can i when i visit in June get this sim card registered and turned back on ?

is it a wise move using vodafone as i am advised that there are better providers out there that give you free time when you top up a certain amount, similatr to O2 in thre UK,can somebody who knows the correct answer plz advise, thanks

    hi

as fara s i am aware, as part of anti terrorism measures, the spanish government required all SIMs to be registered on the national database.
When you buy a new phone, or SIM all your details are logged.
Any SIM that was sold in Spain and not registered by October 2008 (i think) was deactivated.

If you go to a odafone dealer tehy may be able to register it and reactiveat it for you , but I am unsure.

I know that in my area Voda tend to have some strong signals compared to some other providers.
And at the end of the day they all do the same packages and prices, it is a very competitive market..
