The British Darts Organisation (BDO) World Darts Championship began in 1978, and was the only world darts championship tournament up to 1993. It has been held at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green, Surrey.
From 2020, the BDO World Darts Champion ship will be shown on Eurosport and Quest
