Sky HD price changes rumours
According to rumours, Sky will be changing how they charge for the HD packages.
Currently the 10 HD mix gets you all HD channels except Movies and Sports, no matter how many mixes you actually subscribe to.
From 1st October you will only get the HD channels corresponding to the basic mixes you have. ie you won’t get Sky1 HD unless you have Variety mix
Hope fully this can be confirmed or denied soon.
This is in the latest SKy mag
The article in the latest Sky Mag states:
“Changes to your HD Service
Since launch, we have worked hard to improve our HD service by adding over 30 new HD channels that offer an unrivalled choice of amazing programmes in high defitnition. We will even have 50 HD channels by this Christmas, which is more than any other UK provider.
We are changing the way we offer our HD channels by aligning them with your Sky TV digital subscription. For example, to enjoy great dramas on Sky1 in high definition, you would need to have the Variety Pack which includes Sky1. This change will take place on or around 5th October 2010.
These changes don’t affect the HD channels you currently receive and you don’t need to do anything to carry on enjoying your HD from Sky.”
The final paragraph seems to contradict para 2 (unless they mean, your ok until October)?
