NME TV will be closing on all platforms (Sky and Freesat Freesat) from the 5th January 2012.

A message posted on their Facebook page announced:
“As you might have seen on the channel @nmetv will be closing on the 5th Jan so get your tissues out and watch it while you still can!”

No reason has been given, however it can be presumed it will be financial, which is a shame as it was one of the more popular music channels on satellite

Chart Show TV +1 replaces the now closed down NME TV
Eurobird 1 at 28 degrees east 11.307 Vertical, SR 27.500, FEC 2/3

This is probably just a “place holder” until a new channel is launched.
