  2. This change of frequency may well mean loss of come channels for people in the extreme fringe area of UK TFV reception in Tenerefe, or Greece, or Cyprus where reception of Astra 1N is not as good as Astra 2D.

  3. It may well be that in the near future, the BBC channels, and Irish RTE channels, currently on Astra 2D could also moved over to 1N.

    This would mean 2D would be clear of channels, and free to move away to another location, and its replacement, expected to be launched later this year, can pop into Astra 2Ds vacated space at 28 east.

    It would mean that for a few months at least all main UK TV channels would eb available on smaller 80cm to 1m satellite dishes in Spain

    (This is my speculation and not confirmed by Astra or BBC.)
