As we have mentioned before in a previous post (
some “installers” in Spain and Portugal have been persuading clients to install a satellite system that involves the illegal hacking into the encrypted signal.
This is to overcome the loss of BBC and ITV channels as a result of their recent migration to a new Astra satellite.
The “907 Scam”, as it has become known, relies on codes being made available to “unlock” these encrypted channels.
If you do not have the latest code, then you will not get any channels from this system.
Which can be expensive when some companies are charging up to 600 euros for this system and those codes are not known.
As long as the satellite installers mention this to you , that when codes change you can lose your feeds of UK TV from the Intelsat 907 satellite, then they are covered.
However, some satellite installers have not.
Which is why my inbox if full to day of people who have had this system installed by other companies asking ME why their channels are no longer working.
The answer is simple:
The codes used to unlock these channels were changed at 10am this morning.
You will have to wait until those codes are known, and input into your receive before you can use the system again…which could be hours, day or weeks….

I live at the edge of Murcia/Almeria, in south of Spain and we get BBC and ITV and other stations intermittently. Sometimes it is good and at other times we loose all of it. As we get the TV station sometimes would it help to try and move the 1.9 dish a little? Any help appreciated. Regards Lisa
This has nothing to do with the main post of “Intelsat 907 at 27.5 West”.
A slight realigning of your dish may help, but then it may also be that your dish is simply on the very limit of its reception for where you are, and cannot be improved…
I use this service the codes changed the chap came and changed them within 48 hours.and charged me only for his fuel.
The picture quality is fantastic even on my big old 15 year old tv. It was made clear to me regarding the service .
And that I might loose my investment if the codes are not made available anymore . Cost €400 .
It’s the same situation with iptv , only I am told my box can be used for internet tv and satellite tv. And if satellite tv is dead why are they still sending up billions of pounds worth of satellites.
You pay your money you take your chance.
