Freesports to launch in HD on Sky soon

FreeSports has announced that it will :

“officially launch in HD on Sky UK on July 15th!
This means #LIVE & #FREE football, rugby, cricket, motorsports, ice hockey, boxing and much more in HD!”

Freesports is on Freesat channel 252, and Sky channel 422.

Although their announcement says “on Sky”, there is no mention of the HD channel being made available on Freesat HD. IF it is on sky, and unencrypted, one would assume it would also be on Freesat HD also. But as we have seen with C4HD, it can be on Sky HD and not on Freesat HD. It would have to be added as a “non freesat channel” if not made available on Freesat

  1. I’ve got sky tv and freesports hd is on channel 422. I can get sound but no picture, just a blue screen. This is only since it went hd.

    • You do not say if you have a Sky HD / Sky+HD box?
      So:
If you do not have Sky HD / Sky+HD box then you will not get Freesports HD.
If you do have a Sky HD / Sky+HD box, reboot the box and it should be there
