Tests for regional versions of Channel 4 HD have been spotted on the UK TV satellites.
At the moment Channel 4 only operate 1 HD channel, which takes its feed and adverts from Channel 4s London region.
Having other regional versions of Channel 4 HD allows more specific regional advertising.
However, more Channel 4 HD regions could be an issue for people living in fringe reception areas, like in Spain. This is because the tests for these regions are being conducted on frequencies that are very weak here in Spain. A well aligned 125x135cm satellite dish just about gets the frequencies being used. A 1.8m dish should have no issues getting these signals.
We shall update more when we have specific launch dates, and confirmation that these are the final frequencies.
