As part of the BBCs move to making all channels and regions High Definition, and closing down their Standard Definition (SD) channels over the next few months (see my post HERE ) , the first part of these changes will take place on
Tuesday 17th January.
The first changes will affect a few “sub” regions of local News.
BBC One Oxford will be closing down. Its viewers will be moved automatically on Freesat and Sky to BBC One South
BBC One East W will be closing down. Its viewers will be moved automatically on Freesat and Sky to BBC One East (East)
And BBC One East (East) will change its name to BBC One East following the BBC One East (West) closure.
