This shows you the process to follow to add UK Channel 5 channels to your Ferguson Ariva 52S satellite receiver, after they changed frequencies back in late 2022.

Some people prefer to use a basic “free to air” satellite receiver, such as an Ariva, rather than a Freesat set top box or Sky digibox.

This can be frustrating as these satellite receiver do not have automatically channel updates. So if and when channels change to a new frequency, then the user has to manually scan for the channels on their new frequencies. Sky and Freesat set top boxes do these changes automatically.
