Freeview FAQs – Can I use my Freeview box in Spain?

It is possible to use (some) UK Freeview boxes in Spain.

As a Freeview box connects to a TV aerial, then it will only pick up the local Spanish TV transmissions.

A Freeview box will not connect to a satellite dish. Not only are the cable connections a different type of connector, but there is a difference in the Freeview signals verse the satellite signals, and the two are incompatible.
