Eurosport closes on the 30th April 2012 - Analogue version on Astra 19 to close

The analogue Eurosport service, available on Astra 1 at 19 degrees east, that also has English commentary, will stop transmitting and close on the 30th April 2012. The service will only be available in digital format.

However, one downside is that there is no English commentary on the digital German Eurosport service.

This will also affect all German analogue channels that are also currently transmitting on AStra 1 at 19 east.

Most of these analogue channels are already available on the digital signals on Astra 1 at 19 east.

And many of these channels are already available in HD for free.



This change doe snot affect British Eurosport, or British Eurosport 2 that is available on the Sky TV Service.
