The BBC Sport app has launched on selected Sony Bravia TVs, enabling users to watch the BBC's interactive coverage of sporting events such as Formula One and London 2012.

The app, which launched on Virgin Media's TiVo platform in April, is intended to 'seamlessly integrate' linear TV with online and on-demand content on the living room screen.

Users of Sony's connected TVs can now access all action from the BBC's interactive Grand Prix coverage in a single hub, including live streams of races that the BBC has the rights to show, along with on-demand video and additional content.

During F1 races covered live on BBC One, fans will be able to access alternative options such as on-board cameras and the driver tracker, showing where each car is on the circuit in real time.

There will also be full coverage of selected practice and qualifying sessions - the former not shown on BBC One.

The BBC Sport app on connected TV is also now offering interactive coverage of Euro 2012, and that will soon expand to Wimbledon and London 2012 Olympic Games.

The BBC Sport app is now available for Sony Bravia models EX553, EX653, HX753 & HX853 of all sizes. It sits alongside the existing BBC News and BBC iPlayer apps in the Sony Entertainment Network.

But please note that this service may not be available to users in Spain, or other countries outside the UK.
