Lost TV Channels

Hi,

Recently I found I had lost the EPG for BBC1 North West. Shortly after I found I had lost BBC3 and BBC4. I searched the website and found info about recent frequency changes to BBC channels.

I use a generic Freesat digibox so I did a rescan and found/saved the new locations for my channels. - All good.

I then found that BBC2 Wales was transmitting the signal for BBC1 programmes. - Strange. - I did a rescan for BBC2 Wales but cannot find it. - However, I found
BBC2 NI.

Next, I found I had 'lost' BBC1 East(E) - I did a rescan but cannot find it.

Are BBC2 Wales and BBC1 East(E) still available? - If so, on what frequencies?

Moving on, I next found I have 'lost' ITV1 Granada, ITV2 and ITV3. - Another rescan but I cannot find them. - Strangely, these channels were previously received on transponder/frequency 10773/H, the one which now hosts some of the BBC channels which have moved. - Has BBC somehow interfered with ITV? - Are my 'lost' channels still available and, if so, where do I find them?

I have searched the site for answers but cannot find solutions. - Please help.

Yes they are available.

BBC2 Wales and BBC1 East(E) are still on 10788 V

Perhaps, on your "generic" box a simple rescan will not pick up the channels on their new frequencies.
It may be that you wil have to delete the affected BBC channels from your channel list and load them back up again.

ITV2, ITV4 and ITV Granada are still on 10758 V - where they have been for many months.
ITV3 is still on 10906 V - where they have been for many months.
Those ITV channels you mention have never been on 10773 H...as 10773H has always been a BBC transponder, not an ITV transponder.

Nothing has changed for those ITV frrequencies.
No BBC changes would have affected ITV frequencies.

As no one else had had any issues, the problems you are encountering will be down to your receiver.

Perhaps delete all channels and perform a rescan...?

If you have a Freesat box, then simply perform a Freesat scan, and that will pick up the Freesat channels.
I am assuming by "a generic Freesat digibox" you mean a basic generic receiver, and not an actual Freesat receiver.

Thanks for the prompt reply and for dealing with my 'forum access' issue. - Life is never dull in TV land. - Maybe I need to invest in an updated digibox.

Apologies but am I the only one having problems?

I have now 'lost' HorrorChannel and CBS Reality+1. - Can you help with transponder info for these now?

It seems that as I reinstate one channel changes are automatically being made to another unrelated channel and I 'lose' it.

CBS Reality+1 and horror channels are on 11261 h 27.5 2/3
They have been on these frequencies for many months, and are still there today.

I've been watching these channels on the odd occasion for months and then suddenly they disappeared. They are now restored but before re-installing them I checked the frequencies they were allegedly being transmitted on. - They both showed 10773/V - Crazy no!!

Anyway, I now have a written list of all my favourite channels and their respective frequency settings so if there are further problems I should be able to reinstate and not have to bother you again. - Unless, of course, it is the broadcasters who change the channel settings.
