    Lost ITV1 and Channel 5?

As of yesterday I seem to have lost signal to ITV1 and Channel 5 . The other ITV channels ie. 2, 3 etc seem to be okay. Have there been any changes made?
I do however still have ITV+1

    Hi

    Yes.
Changes have been made to C4HD, 4seven, some ITV regions, and "Channel five" channels.

    See
    http://www.satandpcguy.com/forum/sho...ption-in-Spain for more.
for all the information and channels and frequencies affected.

And you are not alone. Many people have been affected

If you cannot receive these channels then is simply a case that your dish is no longer big enough to receive these channels on their new satellite.

However, it may be best to wait until ALL the channels (BBC ITV C4 Sky Disney) move to their new satellite before jumping and rushing to get a new bigger satellite dish now. It may well be that these channels move to Astra 2E, whose reception in Spain is unknown, and it may be your new dish today, may not be able to receive these channels when they move!

If you cannot get ITV1 on Sky 103, or Sky 973, then use another region:
    see
    http://www.satandpcguy.com/Site/itv_...anca_spain.php
for frequencies for other ITV regions. You konw you will get two ITV frequencies, seeing as you still get ITV2,3, and 4!

Currently the only lternate option for Channel Five is Channel 5 HD.
There are no alternate frequencies for any of the channel five channels.

I still get ITV Yorkshire and the other ITV channels, but only get the HD Channel 5's.
I have a 1.2m dish (I think) about 25minutes north west of Granada. Have lost a lot of ITV regions on the other channels sky page. Could it be that HD move to 2E which is supposedly better reception in Spain, so even if we loose SD we will be still able to receive HD?

No one knows what reception of 2E will be like in Spain.
It too has a uk beam and pan european beam.
For all we know 2Es uk beam coul dbe far more restrictive than 2Fs UK beam.

As for Five HD, that is currently "free to view" and needs a Sky card to view.
It may be that if / when it goes free to air, and no longer requries a sky card, it too may move from its current satellite (nice and easy paneuropean beam) to the uK beam on 2e or 2f.

If I were Sky, then I would move my pay SD channels ontot hew UK beam, and my Pay HD channels onto the euroepan beam, forcing expats to pay for a HD subscription to get the easier to receive HD channels.
They sort of do this already -0 where I am SD versions of Sky SPorts 4 and SSNews can be unavailable mid afternoon on 2,.4m dishes. But their HD verions are available 24/7 on 80cm dishes!

So 2E could be worse than 2F? Is there an update on 2F yet, whats the reception like?
Also are Sky Channels (Pay) moving to a new satellite?

    Maybe, maybe not.
We will not know until it is operational.
Just like we did not know what 2Fs Uk beam would be like until it was operational.
Although they are the same "make and model" of satellites, their beams will be individually tailored, and perhaps 2Es UK beam will be tinkered with taking into account the reception reports they have for 2F.

You know already what its reception is like for 2F - you have lost some ITVs and Channel 5's in your location - so 2F reception is worse for you than before those channels were on 2F.

All channels, free and pay, on the three "old" Astra satellites (1n, 2a nd 2b), will be moved to the new satellites (2e, 2f, 2g) over the course of the next year or so.
