    Change to quad LNB

I'm currently using a single Inverto Black LNB, absolutely no problems with reception at all 24 hrs a day. Would like to run a couple of extra boxes so would like to swap the single to a quad Inverto Black, will there be a noticeable drop in signal quality, if there is would a twin make a big difference?

There should be no significant difference in signal when going from a single to a quad.

Have changed the single for the quad, only a very slight drop in strength and quality on the Sky box, but still recieving everything fine. Just attached a Pace 2600 that I've not used for a couple of years, was working fine before but now stuck in stand-by mode, is it dead or is there somthing I can do to bring it back to life. Would be a shame to chuck it as really like these boxes - very fast.

The Pace 2600 and 430 are good fast receivers, but they are old, at least 10 years old, and are probably prone to component failure.
I would not be surprised if a period of non use, and then suddenly being switched on, may have caused an issue with the components inside.
Or perhaps dust or damp where the box was stored has caused an issue.
If you are handy with a solder, take the cover off, and go through the process of checking all the capacitors on the mainboard!
