    Which Satellites To Scan ?

    Hi all,
I have just paired my Sky Card to my Vu + Solo 2 Enigma Receiver in the Uk using satellite 28.2 Eulesat.

I am bringing this box over to Spain with me next month and wondered if i need to scan othedr satellites or will it be ok with these settings.

Also has anyone else heard about Sky altering the way they pair their card with official receivers?
This could have a dramatic affect on anyone who takes their paid for sky card over to Spain with them(potential loss of all your subscription channels in Fta receivers)

I know of quite a few people in Uk who can no longer view their channels through non sky boxes ie Enigma type receivers,
    Thanks for taking a look.

If your receiver has the UK TV channels already loaded from Astra 1n, 2a, 2F and Eutelsat 28A, then there I no need to rescan then into the receiver just because you move the receiver to Spain.
Channels do not change frequencies just because you move the receiver to another location.

Not heard anything definite, just the rumours.
Although we know they are up to something as the latest Sky HD receiver software now has "Receiver ID" on their system details screen.
But then, it may simply be that they make ALL PAY channels Sky Digibox receiver specific, as opposed to just Sports, Movies and most HD channels at the moment.

Maybe, but then there are other receivers that can currently "read" a Sky card.
It will be a "cat and mouse" game between Sky / NDS and the receiver software programmers.
Originally it was thought these current white cards wold not work on non Sky boxes, but there have been no issues so far.

"potential loss of all your subscription channels in Fta receivers"
FTA receiver, by definition, cannot have subscription channels - as they are "Free To Air" channels.
