The correct Sky default transponder frequency has always been 11.778 V 27.5 2/3.
The Sky default transponder frequency is only used once, when the Sky box is booting up, as it tells the Sky box which frequency to download the channels list data from.
And 11778 is the only frequency that carries the full 7 days EPG data.
But when this frequency was on the old satellites, it used to be on a frequency that could be tricky to receive in Spain...especially mid afternoon. So if you had to reboot a Sky box, you had to ask it to use any one of the other 100+ frequencies that Sky uses...
12.207 V 27.5 2.3was one of them.
Until mid 2016 when it changed to 12.207 V 27.5 5/6.
So anyone using 12.207 V 27.5 2.3 as a Sky default transponder frequency found their box would not boot, and show the no signal message, as it was looking for data on an invalid frequency.
But since Feb 2016, 11778 is now on the European beam and nice and easy to receive in Spain even on a dish half the size of your 2.4m dish. So there is now no need to change it from 11778 to any other.
