LNB Distance to a Multiswitch

Here is one for you Jon, what is the optimum cable distance from a Quattro LNB to a multiswitch.

not too sure about there being an optimum distance....
but with the use of the correct amplifers you can get quite a distance.

Thanks for that, but would "say" 10 mts be OK without any amplifcation be permissible.
