Hello

Is it possible to reset the Sky+ Box and then manually install certain frequencies? Thus turning the box into a freesat box and therefore be able to use the recording function without a Sky card inserted. Or do I need a free view card.

to enable the record and playback functions on a sky+ vox you MUST pay sky somehting each month.
With a FSFS card you pay £10 per month for the receord options.
it is included in any sky subscription.

all the available FTA channels (more or less) are already in the sky EPG.if you want just a selection then you can either use the favourties option, or add you favoutie channels to the "other chanenls" list
