quad LNB

I have just bought a quad LNB off Ebay, and have tried to fit it myself, I made a not of the orignal postion of the old LNB and wired up the system before taking it out, made all the connections to the Digi box and strung the cable to the dish, then made the connection at that end.

I then made the switch of the LNB's, now this is where I am having the problem, I rotate the LNB clockwise so the connectors are at about the 7'o'clock position and keep checking that I only move the LNB very slightly to see if I have a signal, but low, and, behold, nada.

Any help please?

Hi,
It depends how you mean you are not getting any signal.
If you are using a beeper then this will show a signal.
If you are just using the test screen on a sky box, then that is the first problem. It defaults to 11778, as it should, which is very LNB skew critical, and probably in your area, not available all day. So, first, change the sky boxes default frequency to 12129, and get channels back. Then use use Sky Sports News, or Eurosport 2 to adjust the LNB skew. Or do this in the morning to get the maximun test bars, when 11778 is strongest.
