sattelite dish ?

I live on the campo in Albatera.I am connected to a 1.9 mtr dish (50 mtr run)on which the LNB is rated at .2 decibell thro a free to air Boston box.
In the morning i cannot get itv or bbc,only sky news,come 1pm i can get both itv and bbc.Is it the size of dish, the LMB,or the length of run that is causing the problem

Hi,

I dont think it is the lenght of the cable run - 75 - 100 m is the limit.
if your dish is a prime focus, then the invacom LNBs (twim and quads) are generally considered to be the best - they are expensive, but they do perform better than "universal" LNBs
have you tried all the bbc and iTV regions - some are stronger than others....?
personally i think the dish is just a bit too small for your area...i would have gone for a 2.4....

Can you please explain what is a prime focus? is it just the make

2 images (should!) be attached. one os an off set dish, where the LNB points towards the dish from an angle, the other is a prome focus dish where the LNB is directly in the middle of the dish.

I have aquired a off set dish with a broken Grundig LNB the dish is oblong shaped and measures approx 1.20m accross and 1.35m long.what type of new LNB should i fit,and do you think it will give me a good picture,bearing in mind where i live (Albatera campo)

Along with the dish i was given a Pace 2600 receiver can i use this? It has 2 slots 1 says 'interactive card' and the other 'sky viewing card'

invacom do a "LNB INVACOM 0,3 dB SNH-031 UNIVERSAL" and the twin output is "LNB INVACOM TWIN 0,3 dB TWH-03" whoich are good for this offset dish - but also a universal sharp and universal maxim LNBs work well.

you will not get much or any bbc itv c4 on that dish...but wil get a lot of other free to air channels....
a pace 2600 is known as the rollsroyce of receivers - it is considered to be the best for spain.
the interactive slot is not used for anything.
a sky FTV or subscription card goes into the 'sky viewing card' slot

when I connected the pace 2600 it said no sattellite signal being received,even tho i had just been watcing TV on my Boston box. do you have to tune the pace in? Oh and how do i get a free view card?

you may have to set up the default transponder on the pace to look at another frequency....

a freesatfromsky card will be available from sky for £20 in the uk - get a friend of family member to order one for you and get it posted out here and then you will need to get your friend or family member to then calls sky and get the card activated....you will need the details on the System details page (Services, 4 ,6)
or ask a local insaller if they have one......it may cost aorund 70euros but should be preactivated.

I have installed the Pace box and followed your unbloking insructions,and everything seems ok but only 1 itv station shows up which is central west but wont come on (11am) there are loads of bbc programs that are ok
