for invacom prime focus LNBs for 1.8m dishes you need a proper feedhorn (universal flange)...see attached
these have 4 or 8 holes...the 8 holes have 2 sets of 4 - one set is closer to the outer rim than the other....
Hi s.a.pc.g
Im almost there now ( what did you say thank god) the only issue now is the LNB, i'm taking a 2 way .6 microlectronics with a feedhorn off the 1.9 dish and intend to take your advice and fit a quad Invacom to supply 1 sky+ box and 2 receivers but the flange only has 6 scews, the replacement ones ive seen have 8,will it fit the original feedhorn flange.
Thanks for all your help.

Is the Pace DS440N as good as the DS430N for use in Spain ?
Also what size of dish would you recommend for the Motebello urb (nr zocco market)
in my opinion i have found that the 440 and 445 are they are not a patch on the 2600, the 430 or the humax freesat HD, or even the current standard thomson receiver.
it totally depends what you want to watch - if you are in the torre area then a dish smaller than a 1.8 will get you bbc and itv but not on a consistent basis, a 1.8 or greater will get you bbc and itv on a more consistant basis - bbc2 and c4 may not be available 24/7

Hi s.a.pc.g.
I intend to replace the existing 2 way LNB on a 1.8 mtr prime focus dish to a quad one probably Invacom as per your reccomendation. The existing LNB has a feedhorn that is attatched by a flange to the LNB.Is it true that modern LNBs have the Feedhorn built in as in LNBF or do you have to buy a flange type. Also can you give me your opinion on dual LNBFs (or are they called monobloc ?) And would they be suitable for my application (Freesat)
Thanks Supershaw
for the invacoms for a prime focus you will need a feedhorn like the one inthe picture above.
these feedhorns have 4 holes for attachment to one of the 2 sets of four holes on the LNB - screws will be included with the LNB.
monoblocks are designed for one dish to look at two satellites - the most popular use for monoblocks are for a dish to look at astra1 and hotbird - 6 degrees differerece. they are not good for getting the most from a big dish.
