    New sky card waiting period

I live and Spain and will shortly be receiving the new sky card (I got a message on my screen saying that they are going to post me my new card) at my house in the UK. We are not due to go back to the UK until early October and my worry is how long will my current card (blue with yellow house) remain active before we can go back and get the new card. We return to Spain on October 11th.

Re: New sky card waiting period

When the cards were last swapped about 6 years ago you had 2 or 3 weeks to get your new card into the receiver. Otherwise the card did not activate and could only be done by contacting Sky and getting them to activate the new card for you.

Similarly the i would assume that old blue yellow house cards would probably continue to work for this 2 / 3 weeks timescale also. And is is assumd that ALL blue yellow house cards will be turned off / deactivated any way sometime during October.

I am assuming that the process would be similar, but have not tried to do it myself.
