I now believe I have to run the cable from lnb out to another receivers lnb in and then via scart to the tv.
1) Is that correct and
2) does the type of 2nd receiver matter, could I for instance use my old pace box ? Many thanks.
Hi,
I know the best way would be to have a twin lnb but just at this moment I only have a single which is connected to a 'boshmann' receiver and a dvd player via the usual scart leads. The receiver does not have a RF out but has an 'lnb out'. I have tried running from this to a second set upstairs but getting nothing. Can you advise please ?

using a single output lnb for two tvs...hmm
if you only have one receiver connected then to get tv to the otrher tv you will need an rf from that reciver to the other tv.
of you have one receiver with an lnb out and connect up another reciever to it, then this could damage both recievers and lnbs...
one reciver must always be switched off otherwise both lnbs may be sending power to the lnb...
if you have one reciver lookiong at a "vertical frequency" channel, and the other lookinhg at a horizontal channle then you will not get a picture on on of the recivers as the lnb can onlky look at one polarizatoin at a time...
to watch to different satellite chnnels at on=ce you need a twin output lnb...

Thank you very much, twin lnb it is.
With regard to your reply : What is the ' LNB out' actually for ?
lnb out is for connecting two receivers to one lnb, but viewing only chnanels on the same polarisation,
many german pay channels are all on one polarization and there for many receivers can be conected to one lnb and watch different channels without any problems.
