Are they the same?

Are the 1.35 and the 1.4 dishes only described differently by installers or is there an actual 5cm difference and if so would that 5cm make a difference ? many thanks.

good question...
its like i sell 1.8m dishes, other installers sell 1.9m dishes, but the dishes actually measure 1.82m.....but 1.9 sounds as if you are getting more for your money...

i have seen an offset dish sold as a 1.35m - it actually has measurements of "Diámetro Mayor: 1.37 m Diámetro Menor: 1.22 m"
there is a Famaval 1.4m prime focus dish

so there is a difference as they are two different types of dishes.

Outside diameter: 1440mm x 1440mm
Relector diameter: 1330mm x 1330mm

1.8 prime focus
Outside diameter: 1940mm x 1940mm
Relector diameter: 1790mm x 1790mm

2.4 prime focus
Outside diameter: 2470mm x 2470mm
Relector diameter: 2290mm x 2290mm
