Recording on 'other channels'

I use Channel Island ITV from the 'other services' menu. Don't seem to be able to record on this channel. I have a Sky+ box. Is there any way around this?

Nope.


An sky+ will only record from channels with actual channel numbers (those in the EPG).
the only way to record "other channels" is by using another external unit (like a VCR)

Hi,
I am using a Pace 440 box.
I have it hooked up to an external HD/DVD recorder.
This records perfectly from normal Sky channels list, but refuses to record any channels from the "other Channels" list.
All that gets recorded is the program banner throughout the recording.
Has anyone managed to record from a program placed in"other channels "?

i have just tried a few things out and found that:

if the external hd/dvdr is conencted to the sky receiver's VCR output - it may not record the other channels - the "other channels" signal may be blocked from being sent to the VCR output...

but if you have the TV output on your sky reciever connected to the AV2 input on your HDDDVDR, then the AV1 on the HDDDVDR to the TV, i had no problems
