Some people are watching Digi TV, on 1 West.
Many channels are encrypted in Nagra 2, but with some software and "codes" many channels can be unlocked.

However, slowly, channels are can be opned this way are being migrated to the more seciure Nagra 3 encryption.

It was a few months ago that Digifilm1 and Digifilm2 were migrated, and now more chanenls are.

This could spell the end of watching live UK premiership football, with english commentary for free on this satellite as the channel migration progresses.

These are the channels curently migrated to the new encryption.

Digi TV is currently in the process of changing all their viewing cards, but as their serfice covers many countires it has complicated logistics, with the final exchange of cards delayed a few times already.

Digi TV is available in Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Serbia and Croatia.

A reports has suggested that June 15th i the last day of the Nagra3 card swap, so expect the "hacked" Nagra 2 channels to be migrated to the more secure Nagra3 encryption very soon.

Romania’s RCS/RDS has finally begun to address piracy problems surrounding its pan-regional DTH platform Digi TV.

Parabola reports that the platform has completed the transition from Nagravision 2 to Nagravision 3 and 4, thereby hopefully stemming what were believed to be huge financial losses.

Under Nagra 2, some users were able to use "keys" from the internet, and input these keys into their receivers to unscramble the PAY TV channels for free - with no subscription.

Some of the channels, like NOVA SPORT, were and are showing English Premier League football matches live, including at least one 3pm saturday kickoff. So people watching this channels last year will not longer be able to view it without proper subsription.

It also says that Digi TV has around 220,000 subscribers in the Czech Republic and 300,000 in Slovakia.

It is possible to purchase Digi TV in the US or somehow watch channels in the US? I was in Serbia and would really liked their local programming. Don't know if that's possible.

Hi and Welcome,

Digi TV is only available on one satellite and one satellite only - as you state Intelsat 1 West.
This satellites signal has its beams focused on Europe, and it is not available outside that signals footprint, and definately not in the USA.
There are some free to air channels available (TV Kopernikus, Spectrum, FTV See, DM Sat, RTV Duga, Svet Plus, Astro Live TV ) but again these are on 16 east and on a European beam.
It may be possible to locate a "streaming" website with local Serbian TV on it, but you will not be able to watch Serbian TV via satellite in the USA
