    Bullshit ?

I received this reply to a query, in your opinion Is this accurate or bullshit ?

Yes you CAN receive BBC1 and ITV 1,2,3,4 and Channel 4+1 in your area on a 1.35m dish. We have a number of installations in Torrevieja (on Urb La Florida and north of you) doing such. We can achieve this by using specially selected components which give us around 10% extra signal strength over other installers. We also take great care in aligining and tuning the dish to extract the maximum signal possible. We can also supply a very sensitive receiver which at times also allows you to receive BBC2 for a few hours in the evening (enough usually to view Top Gear) however this receiver is manual and does occasionally require some manual updating by the client with information readily available on the internet when frequencies change or new channels become available. The above is only possible on a single LNB at this time dual LNB's are much less sensitive. You may also encounter signal loss in very heavy cloud and rain depending on the time of year. The signals are generally weaker in winter than they are in summer.

    Thanks satandpcguy.

    Re: Bullshit ?

    Honestly, both.

yes, it is possible to get those channels on a 1.35m dish (although dont rely on much bbc2)
But obviously a bigger dish will reduce the time of any signal loss due to rain and heavy could (it will not eliminate it -as even people with 2.4s have lost bbc and itv in our recent bad weather!)
they are using a generic receiver, not a freesat or a sky receiver, and therefore when channels change thier frequencies or settings (audio or vide) you will have to manually return the channels into the receiver.
some makes of single LNBs perform better than other makes of twin LNBs, especially on 1.35m dishes.
signals do vary from the season. in summer the heat can reduce the signals but the cleafr skies help, in the autum the cloud and rain can reduce the signal. but sometimes in the winter in clear cool nights i have managed to get bbc2 24/7....and dont forget the you "loose" an hour when the clocks go back
advise would be to always for for the bigest dish space and budget allows....
