NASA warns that by October 2011 the Draconids, a meteor shower that occurs every autumn, could be catastrophic for the fleet of satellites, probes and human constructions that orbit the Earth.

Oribiting satellites are expected to be bombarded with such intensity that could seriously affect most devices that circulate through space.

The spectacle of watching a meteor shower represents a unique opportunity to admire the fascinating beauty of outer space. However, 2011 will become a high-risk time for all the artifacts of human design that swarm through the orbit of our planet.
