sky hd box keeps losing bbc 1 hd

i have just come back from england and i keep losing my all my bbc1 ,bbc1 hd also bbc2 channels at about 9 at night ,before i went to england the bbc1 hd channel never broke up. itv hd c4 hd are ok but itv2 & itv4 break up abit ?
i have a new sky hd box with a white freesat card , i hope you can help ? many thanks

Hi,

C4HD is on a totally different satellite to BBC HD, so it should be OK.
Surprised that BBCHD is breaking up yet ITV1 HD is not - as they are on the same satellite and similar frequencies, so their reception should be OK.

Some things to consider:
Some Sky HD boxes perform better than others.
You dish has moved
Your dish is bent and has been installed incorrectly so is not optimum.
Your LNB is failing
Water ngress into the cable
The current heat and humidty is causing reception issues.

thanks for your reply i checked tonight i do lose bbc1 hd & itv hd channels they both broke up about 10 pm?
when they were both fine before , i hope you can help me ? many thanks

I do not know where you are (I dont cover Kent!),so I do not know if you are in my service area and you do not say what size dish you have or which of the various Sky HD boxes you are using, so there is very little I can do to help you on here, but, as I suggested in my prevouius post, loss of channels earlier than usual suggests you may need your dish alignment checked, or your LNB checked and / or replaced, or your cabling checked.
