In January 2014, an on-screen message started to appear on BeIn Sports channels informing subscribers to “Register your receiver before the 31st January 2014 to continue to watch BeIn Sports 6, BeIn Sports 7, BeIn Sports 8,BeIn Sports 9, BeIn Sports 12, BeIn Sports 13, BeIn Sports 14, and BeIn Sports 15”.
In February 2014, an new on-screen message appeared on BeIn Sports channels informing subscribers to “Register your receiver before the 1st March 2014 to continue to watch BeIN HD 6, BeIN HD 7, BeIN HD 8, BeIN HD 9, BeIN HD 10, BeIN HD 11, BeIN HD 12, BeIN HD 13, BeIN HD 14, BeIN HD 15.
BeIn Sports receiver registration is allowed only for certain receivers and cards models.
Authorized receivers are Humax models HD-Free and IR-3000-HD.
BeIn Sports receiver registration is only allowed via the internet, but this is “geo-blocked” – and the BeIn Sports receiver registration can only be performed from a PC using an IP address from the BeIn Sports coverage area.
First you are required to go the BeIn Sports website, http://sbs.beinsports.net/SelfService, and create a user account, using your BeIn Sports viewing card serial number.
Once you account has been created, you can then go to the Receiver Registration section, where you pair your BeIn Sports viewing card serial number to your Humax HD-Free and Humax IR-3000-HD receivers serial number.
If the pairing process of your BeIn Sports viewing card serial number to your Humax HD-Free and Humax IR-3000-HD receivers is successful, you will see the following message :
“Congratulations, your Receiver is now registered. Please continue to watch your favourite sports.
تهانينا، لقد تمت عملية تسجيل جهاز الإستقبال بنجاح، نتمنى لكم مشاهدة طيبة لرياضتكم المفضلة.”
Why do I need to register my BeIn Viewing card to a new receiver?
We believe this BeIn Sports Receiver Registration is in response to the current issue with the Premier League no longer allowing BeIn Sports to show all of the Premier League football matches, including all of the 3pm kick offs, due to security and piracy concerns.
See the following links for more details on this “Live Premier League football dispute between BeIn Sports and the Premier League”:
It is thought that BeIn Sports will start to show all 3pm Saturday afternoon Premier League kick offs from February 2014, after the 31st January 2014 receiver registration deadline. This will be because they will show these 3pm kick offs on the “locked” channels of BeIn Sports 6, BeIn Sports 7, BeIn Sports 8,BeIn Sports 9, BeIn Sports 12, BeIn Sports 13, BeIn Sports 14, and BeIn Sports 15.
However, with no confirmation from BeIn Sports, there is some speculation that BeIn Sports will not start to show all 3pm Saturday afternoon Premier League kick offs until the start of the new 2014-15 Premier League season, and then only on new BeIn Sport branded viewing cards and receivers.
