BeIN Sport have the rights to show all 380 Premier League games live.

But last season, the Premier League were concerned over piracy, they limited BeIN Sports to just one 3pm Saturday kick off.

To over come this, BeIN SPorts “went secure” – meaning their viewing cards could only be used in their official receiver.

This, it was hoped would mean that all 3pm kick offs would return.

The Bein Website was updated to say that they would be showing all 380 games live.
And even Richard Keys said on his twitter page in July that they would show all games live.

However, this week BeIN Sports have only been advertising just one 3pm Saturday kick off – QPR v Spurs.

No mention of any of the other matches.
But today, Richard Keys to day said the following:

“To the best of my knowledge guys we are now ‘secure’ but we have to go thro a test period to satisfy P Lge. Not all games this w/e but soon”.

So it looks like BeIN Sports have to prove to the Premier League they are now secure.

Perhaps there will be some new measures to try and stop their feeds appearing illegally on IPTV / XBMC / Mag250 streaming boxes.

Seem strange when they have had all summer to do this…

So it looks like we shall have to wait and see what happens in the next few weeks with regards to the 3pm Saturday kick offs and BeIN Sports.

Hopefully they will be able to show the games live and in FULL HD.

English Premier League Chief Executive Richard Scudamore has lauded beIN SPORTS for leading the fight against TV piracy throughout the MENA region.

As one of the industry’s fastest growing networks, beIN SPORTS recently launched its innovative ‘Go Secure’ drive in an attempt to prevent non-subscribers from accessing its programs illegally.

The region-wide campaign has seen most of the network’s 17 channels securely encrypted so that only viewers whose smart cards are registered to their set-top-boxes can receive them.

Expressing his gratitude in an interview with the network, the Premier League Chief Executive said beIN SPORTS’ efforts have noticeably contributed to the English football division’s battle against global TV piracy.

“beIN SPORTS has been hugely cooperative with us by updating their technology to ensure that the availability of its smart cards outside of the MENA region is much easier for us to manage,” said Scudamore. “Therefore where the Premier League identifies cards that should not exist in the UK beIN SPORTS is cooperating with us to switch them off.”

With beIN SPORTS’ remaining channels now set to be secured in the coming weeks, soon only network subscribers will have access to exclusive sports coverage in the MENA region, which includes the Formula One championships, La Liga, the Premier League and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

With global incidents of TV piracy increasing, the Premier League made a decision last November to block some international rights holders from broadcasting games held on a Saturday at 3pm GMT.

According to Scudamore, the beIN SPORTS ‘Go Secure’ campaign has already achieved considerable success.

“With the full cooperation of beIN SPORTS we are seeing piracy figures drop, leading to a significant reduction in the number of offenders,” said Scudamore. “So people must be patient here, because once we see the number of offenders fall to a manageable number, only then will we allow that content back.”

The Premier League has appointed a firm of corporate investigators to carry out spot-checks and investigations into pubs and clubs showing live matches on Saturday afternoons.

Pubs can access the matches using foreign satellite systems which are often considerably cheaper than the British equivalents.
