Beniarbeig is a town in the Marina Alta area in the Comunidad Valenciana, Spain. It has 1729 inhabitants. Situated at the entrance to the Valley of the Retoría.

Access is easy from Ondara that is out of the AP-7 and the N-332.

The township of Beniarbeig is limited by the towns of Benimeli, Sanet y Negrals, Ondara, Benidoleig and Pedreguer.

The Old Muslim farmhouse after the conquest belonged to the Count of Sinarques. In 1535 the parish was the dismemberment of Denia, close to those of Beniomer and Benicadim, which eventually depopulated, and became rector of Moors. In the eighteenth century, a major economic crisis left the population at levels below which it had before the expulsion of the Moors in 1609. The demographic crisis continued at the beginning of the twentieth century in which there was the emigration to France and Algeria. In the middle of last century was received some immigration from Andalusia.

The floods of October 12 of 2007, caused by rainfall exceeded 400 mm in some places, floodwaters caused the flooding of the Girona river, destroying the bridge over the river and flooded a large part of the area.
