La Vall d’Ebo, Valencia

Vall de Ebo, Valley or simply Ebo Ebo (in Valencian and officially, the Vall d’Ebo) is a municipality of Valencia, Spain. Located in the northeast of the province of Alicante, in the region of Marina Alta. It has 282 inhabitants (INE 2009). The town appeared as Vall de Evo in the census of 1842.1 then called Vall de Ebo until in 2007 changed its name to the current in the Valencian language. The Anglicized name Ebo Valley does not appear as an officer in any historical record of INE. The most interesting landmark Ebo is the landscape of 32.4 km ² of the term where we found the river Ebo (or Girona). This location is accessed by road from Alicante, via the N-332, taking CV-700 to access Pego and connect with the CV-712. The term of Vall de Ebo borders the municipalities of Adsubia, Castell de Castells, Orba, Pego, Tollos, Valle de Alcalá, Vall de Gallinera and Vall de Laguart.

Few known historical data on the municipality in which Neolithic remains were found, Chalcolithic and Bronze Age. You can still find in the valley remains of farmsteads that composed and, with their names, betray their origin Moor Bisbilan, Ben ICID Benicais, Serra, Benisuai, Millans, Cairola, Beneseit and La Solana. Ebo is the only one that survived the expulsion of 1609. After joining the revolt of Al-Azraq was repopulated by his first master, Bernardo de Sarria, with Christians Mallorca.
