Playa de Gandia came alive last night as the Falla a la Mar celebration reached its fiery conclusion. Over four activity-filled days, visitors enjoyed culture, sport and the unmistakable Fallas atmosphere — all leading up to the spectacular cremà on the beach.

The final day offered a full programme: morning sports events on the sand, followed by a lively midday performance from La Mocha on Galícia Street. In the afternoon, the colourful Fallas parade made its way from the Marina de Gandia esplanade to Vicent Calderón Street, drawing large crowds with traditional dress, music and Fallas spirit.

As darkness fell, the sound of an intense night mascletà thundered across the beachfront, thrilling everyone in attendance. Minutes later, the festival reached its emotional peak with the burning of the Fallas monument, an artistic creation by José Sanchis. Flames lit up the December night sky as the statue burned, bringing this year’s edition to a powerful close.

Among the attendees were Mayor José Manuel Prieto, Tourism councillor Balbina Sendra, Fallas councillor Adrià Vila, municipal representatives, the Falleras Mayores, and many members of Gandia’s Fallas community — highlighting the growing significance of this seaside Fallas event.

La Playa de Gandia cobró vida anoche con la celebración de la Falla a la Mar, que llegó a su vibrante final. Durante cuatro días repletos de actividades, los visitantes disfrutaron de la cultura, el deporte y el inconfundible ambiente fallero, culminando con la espectacular cremà en la playa.

El último día ofreció un programa completo: eventos deportivos por la mañana en la arena, seguidos de una animada actuación al mediodía de La Mocha en la calle Galicia. Por la tarde, el colorido desfile fallero se desplazó desde la explanada de la Marina de Gandia hasta la calle Vicent Calderón, atrayendo a una gran multitud con sus trajes tradicionales, música y espíritu fallero.

Al caer la noche, el sonido de una intensa mascletà nocturna resonó en la playa, emocionando a todos los asistentes. Minutos después, la fiesta alcanzó su punto álgido con la quema del monumento fallero, una creación artística de José Sanchis. Las llamas iluminaron el cielo nocturno de diciembre mientras la estatua ardía, poniendo fin a la edición de este año con gran fuerza.

Entre los asistentes se encontraban el alcalde José Manuel Prieto, la concejala de Turismo Balbina Sendra, el concejal fallero Adrià Vila, representantes municipales, las Falleras Mayores y muchos miembros de la comunidad fallera de Gandía, destacando la creciente importancia de este evento fallero junto al mar.
