What is Britbox?
BritBox (stylised britbox) is a subscription on-demand video streaming service offering shows from UK TV channels like ITV, the BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5.
BritBox UK was created in 2019 by the BBC (10%) and ITV plc (90%) , to compete with services like Netflix and Amazon Prime. BritBox is focused on British television series and films, mainly featuring current and past series and films supplied from the main UK public service broadcasters (BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5).
BritBox is said to feature the biggest collection of British box-sets available in one place, with more original programming set to be available from 2020.
Although there are versions of BritBox for the US and Canada, BritBox UK has the largest catalog of content. Most of the content will be that which is no longer available on the free on demand services from individual broadcasters like BBC iPlayer or ITVHub. BritBox will only get content that is no longer on those platforms. So for example, BBC iPlayer has recently expanded its own period of availability of shows to one year, so BritBox will get series after the 12-months are up.
How much does BritBox cost?
BritBox allows a 30-Day FREE Trial. Once your free trial ends, the service is available for only £5.99 per month.
What devices will BritBox be available on?
You can watch BritBox on the following devices :
Mac or Windows PC (web browser)

iPhone
iPod touch
iPad
Android (phones and tablets)
