Humax Freesat HB1100S Remote Control Not Working

The Humax Freesat Remote Control is designed for use with a Humax Freesat Set Top Box.
But as this is a generic Humax Freesat Remote Control, it has also been designed to control a TV also. Although this specific function has been disabled on the remote control, it can still cause an issue
Pressing the TV button on the Humax Freesat Remote Control will make the Humax Freesat Remote Controlthink it is controlling a TV. Not the Humax Freesat Set Top Box. This makes it look like the Humax Freesat Remote Control is not working.
If this is the case then the TV button on the Humax Freesat Remote Control will light up whenever you press any button on the remote control.

To make the Humax Freesat Remote Control work again with the Humax Freesat Set Top Box, simply press the STB button on the top of the Humax Freesat Remote Control.
You will first notice a message on the screen showing the remote is now controlling the Humax Freesat Set Top Box.

And now, whenever you press a button on the Humax Freesat Remote Control, the STB light on the top of the Humax Freesat Remote Control will flash, meaning the Humax Freesat Remote Control is now controlling the Humax Freesat Set Top Box.

If neither the STB or TV light flashes when you press a button on your Humax Freesat Remote Control, change the batteries, and make sure the batteries are inserted correctly.
