Programme your Sky Remote Control for other Sky digiboxes

You can program a Sky remote control to operate Sky, Sky+ or Sky+HD digiboxes.

Obviously standard Sky remote controls do not have the Sky+ recording function buttons. However recordings can actually be played from the planner using a standard Sky remote controls by highlighting and pressing “Select” twice and stopped by pressing “Backup”.

You require a Sky remote control version 8 or above. This is usually found on a sticker in the battery compartment.
This may not work on cheap “clone” replacement Sky remote controls.

How to Programme your Sky Remote Control for other Sky digiboxes

1 Press “TV”

2a On Sky “normal” remotes press and hold “Select” and “Yellow” together until red led in remote end flashes twice
2b On Sky HD remotes press and hold “Select” and “i” together until red led in remote end flashes twice

If the light on the remote it does not flash twice then remote cannot be reprogrammed (clone or too old)

3 Press “0” to operate standard box
Press “1” for Sky+ boxes
Press “2” for SkyHD and Sky+HD boxes.

4 Press “Select” – red led should flash twice

5 Press “Sky”.

6 Your standard Sky remote control should now be controlling the Sky, Sky+ or Sky+HD digibox
