If you are installing, checking or retuning a TV aerial in Gandia, Oliva, Daimús, Tavernes de la Valldigna or the surrounding La Safor area, knowing which TDT frequencies are being used can be extremely useful.

Spain’s TDT system is transmitted using UHF frequencies between 470 and 694 MHz, covering UHF channels 21 to 48. The national network is made up of seven national multiplexes – RGE1, RGE2 and MPE1 to MPE5 – alongside regional and local multiplexes.

Here we provide a useful real-world picture of the signals currently being received in the area.

These are the frequencies I would consider the core Gandia TDT frequencies for aerial installation and manual tuning.

UHF Channel 22 – 482 MHz – RGE1

The first RTVE multiplex in the Gandia area is RGE1 on UHF channel 22, 482 MHz.

It carries:

  • La 1 HD
  • La 2 HD
  • 24h HD
  • Teledeporte HD
  • RNE Valencia
  • Radio 5 RNE
  • Ràdio 4 RNE

This is a national multiplex, although the Gandia transmission is identified by DigitalBitrate as RGE Valencia.

UHF Channel 26 – 514 MHz – Local Gandia TDT

CH26 at 514 MHz is particularly important locally because this is the Gandia local multiplex, TL02V.

The television services include:

  • Comarcal TV
  • TeleSafor

It also carries several local radio services:

  • LOS40 Dance Gandia
  • LOS40 Gandia
  • SER Gandia
  • Dial Gandia
  • LOS40 Classic Gandia
  • SER+ Gandia

For anyone interested in local television and radio around Gandia and La Safor, this is a frequency worth remembering.

UHF Channel 28 – 530 MHz – MPE4

CH28 at 530 MHz is the MPE4 national commercial multiplex.

It carries MEGA and Boing, along with radio services including Onda Cero, Europa FM, Melodía FM, COPE, Rock FM and Energy.

UHF Channel 29 – 538 MHz – Valencian regional TDT

CH29, at 538 MHz, is the Valencian regional multiplex, identified as MAUT VAL1.

The services currently detected include:

  • À Punt HD
  • La 8 Mediterráneo HD
  • BOM
  • À Punt FM

This is therefore the frequency to remember for the main Valencian regional TDT services in the Gandia area.

UHF Channel 31 – 554 MHz – RGE2 and 4K

CH31 at 554 MHz is another RTVE national multiplex, RGE2.

It currently carries:

  • Clan HD
  • La 1 UHD
  • Radio Clásica HQ RNE
  • Radio 3 HQ RNE
  • Radio Exterior RNE
  • DKISS
  • Kiss FM
  • HIT FM
  • esRadio
  • SER
  • LOS40
  • Dial

The important service here is La 1 UHD.

If you have a compatible 4K television or receiver, this is the Gandia frequency to check for terrestrial 4K reception.

UHF Channel 33 – 570 MHz – MPE5

MPE5 is on UHF channel 33 / 570 MHz.

The television services currently detected are:

  • A3Series
  • BeMad TV HD
  • Real Madrid TV HD
  • TEN

The multiplex also carries LOS40 Classic, LOS40 Urban and Radiolé.

UHF Channel 40 – 626 MHz – MPE2

CH40 at 626 MHz is the Atresmedia MPE2 multiplex.

It carries:

  • Antena 3
  • laSexta
  • Neox
  • Nova

This is one of the key frequencies for the main Atresmedia services in the Gandia area.

UHF Channel 43 – 650 MHz – MPE3

CH43 at 650 MHz is the Mediaset MPE3 multiplex.

It carries:

  • Telecinco HD
  • Cuatro HD
  • FDF
  • Divinity

DigitalBitrate’s Gandia scan confirms the multiplex is using DVB-T 64-QAM with FEC 2/3.

UHF Channel 46 – 674 MHz – MPE1

Finally, CH46 at 674 MHz carries MPE1.

The television services are:

  • Squirrel
  • Squirrel2
  • DMAX
  • VEO 7

There are also four radio services:

  • Radio Marca
  • Cadena 100
  • Radio María
  • BOM Radio

TDT technical parameters

For anyone using professional aerial-meter equipment, the Gandia multiplexes currently being monitored by DigitalBitrate use:

Standard: DVB-T
Bandwidth: 8 MHz
FFT mode: 8K
Modulation: 64-QAM
FEC: 2/3
Guard interval: 1/4

These parameters are shown repeatedly in the current DigitalBitrate measurements for the Gandia multiplexes.

Why knowing the frequencies matters

When a television loses only some TDT channels, the problem is not necessarily the television itself.

Because TDT services are grouped into multiplexes, a problem with one frequency can cause several channels to disappear together.

For example, if a television cannot receive 650 MHz / UHF 43, the viewer could lose Telecinco HD, Cuatro HD, FDF and Divinity while the other TDT services continue working normally.

Likewise, a problem with 554 MHz / UHF 31 could affect Clan HD and La 1 UHD, while other channels remain available.

This is why an aerial installer should measure individual multiplexes rather than simply checking whether “the TDT works”.

The Gandia TDT frequency list

For quick reference, the main frequencies to check are:

482 MHz – CH22 – RGE1
514 MHz – CH26 – TL02V local
530 MHz – CH28 – MPE4
538 MHz – CH29 – MAUT Valencia
554 MHz – CH31 – RGE2 / La 1 UHD
570 MHz – CH33 – MPE5
626 MHz – CH40 – MPE2
650 MHz – CH43 – MPE3
674 MHz – CH46 – MPE1

These frequencies provide a useful starting point when manually tuning or testing a TDT aerial system around Gandia and the surrounding La Safor area.

Frequency information in this guide is based on the DigitalBitrate Gandia scanner data available in July 2026 and can change if broadcasters modify their multiplexes or transmission arrangements.
