Sky has made some changes to its Sky Cinema channels today.

Three of the channels are no longer available in Standard Definition (SD), and now only available in High Definition (HD).

The channels affected are

Sky Cinema Drama, Sky Cinema Comedy and Sky Cinema Thriller.

This will obviously only affect those Sky users who are using SD boxes.

Sky HD box users already get Sky Cinema channel in HD by default

It is thought this is the start of a push by Sky to move to HD only channels…although this may be some time oas not all channels are available in HD.

Also today, two “+1” Sky channels closed, Pick +1 and SyFy+1.
