This week BBC TV channel changes, as part of their SD to HD change over.

Freesat users will have been changed today (the 6th February 2023), Sky users will be changed tomorrow (Tuesday 7th February)

BBC SD to HD changes on Freesat set top boxes:

In the West Midland & East Yorks/Lincs Regions:
On HD devices:
101 local version of BBC ONE (SD) has been replaced by new local version of BBC One HD
106 generic version of BBC ONE HD has been replaced by a screen saying:
Good news, BBC One HD is now available in HD for your local region.
Please tune to channel 101 to watch BBC One HD.

On SD devices:
101 local version of BBC ONE has been replaced by generic “non region” version of BBC ONE

 Wales:
On HD devices:
180 BBC ONE Wales (SD) and 120 BBC TWO Wales (SD) have been removed.

On SD devices:
101 BBC ONE Wales has been replaced by generic “non region” version BBC ONE
102 BBC TWO Wales has been replaced by generic “non region” version BBC TWO

BBC Alba

109 BBC Alba has has been replaced by BBC Alba HD

These channel have been removed from all Freesat devices:
BBC ONE Wales (SD) (180/101 in Wales, 964 everywhere.)
BBC TWO Wales (SD) (120/102 in Wales, 979/971 everywhere.)
963 BBC ONE W Mid (SD)
967 BBC ONE Yk&Li (SD)

201 BBC Parliament has been “redirected” to the version on 12422H

BBC SD to HD changes on Sky SD and HD digiboxes:

•  BBC Alba HD launches to 847 in the UK (smart swapped with BBC Alba SD 117 in Scotland and 169 in the rest of the UK)
• BBC One Wales SD (952/101) closes – existing BBC One Wales HD remains at 978 and 801(801 smart swapped with Nightlight at 101)
• BBC Two Wales SD (971/102) closes – existing BBC Two Wales HD remains at 980 and 802(802 smart swapped with BBC Two Network at 102)
•  BBC Two Network closes at 969 in Wales
•  BBC One West Midlands HD launches to 801 (smart swapped with Nightlight at 101) and replaces SD at 959
• BBC One Yorks & Lincs HD launches to 801 (smart swapped with Nightlight at 101) and replaces SD at 957
