Further to our previous post regarding free to air Super League to be shown on Channel 4, it has been announced that ITV will be showing highlights and a selection of live games, plus the final of Premiership Rugby.

For the remainder of the current season, four matches will be shown by ITV.

The first match to be covered live by ITV will be

Sale Sharks v Leicester Tigers on Sunday 30th January at 3:00pm.

ITV4 wil broadcaster the final in June the first time the final has been shown on free-to-air television.

Going forwards ITV will broadcast live seven matches, including the final for each season of the deal.

BT Sport remain the main broadcast rights holder, until their current deal ends in 2024, and they will continue to show live matches every weekend, including those shown live by ITV.
