Canals, Valencia, Spain

Canals is a town in the Costera area in the Comunidad Valenciana, Spain, with a population of 13,771 in 2007.

It is located next to the the A-7 highway.

Neighbouring towns include l’Alcúdia de Crespins, Cerdà, la Granja de la Costera, Xàtiva, Llanera de Ranes, Montesa, Torrella and Vallés.

The economy is mainly agriculture (oranges), as most of the industry in the town has now closed down.

Monuments: The turret of the route borja-borja primitive watchtower presumably Vintage Arabic that gives its name to the tower.
