BBC Red Button Streams for Summer 2019
As usual, the BBC will be launching some extra “Red Button” streams on satellite TV over the summer.
These “pop up” channels allow the BBC to show a bit more Sport over the summer months, including multiple Wimbledon courts.
They are also used for Glastonbury, showing multiple stages at a time.
The stream have now appeared on satellite.
The BBC Red Button streams are on frequency 12422 H 22000 5/6, as they have been for the last few years.
They are on the UK beam, on the Astra 2 satellites.
Sky and Freesat boxes will automatically update their channel lists with new channel numbers for these BBC Red Button streams when these streams become active. Users of other satellite receiver will have to manually scan the relevant frequency.
It is expected that on Sky these will be the BBC Red Button Channel Numbers
980 – ‘BBC RB HD’
981 – ‘BBC RB 1’
982 – ‘BBC RB 2’
983 – ‘BBC RB 3’
984 – ‘BBC RB 4’
985 – ‘BBC RB 5’
986 – ‘BBC RB 6’
